1. The service

NIS2PME is an open-source platform (AGPL-3.0 licence) supporting compliance with the Portuguese cyberspace security legal framework (Decree-Law 125/2025), based on the National Cybersecurity Reference Framework (QNRCS 2026). The software is available at https://github.com/nis2pme/platform and can be deployed free of charge on your own infrastructure.

2. Evaluation trial

Accounts created at trial.nis2pme.pt are evaluation trial accounts, subject to the following conditions:

• Purpose: they are exclusively for evaluating the platform, not for production use;
• Duration: the account is suspended 14 days after creation and, 5 days later, automatically deleted with all associated data, with no possibility of recovery;
• Data: do not enter sensitive or confidential company data (or third parties' personal data). Use representative or fictitious data. Some trial features, such as AI analysis, rely on external service providers. For real use with real data, deploy the platform on your own infrastructure;
• Acceptable use: using trial accounts for any unlawful purpose, for unauthorised security testing of the service, or in a way that degrades the service for other users is prohibited.

3. Warranties and liability

The website, the platform and the trial accounts are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, under the terms of the AGPL-3.0 licence. In particular:

• the platform is a support tool and does not constitute legal advice; using the platform does not, by itself, guarantee your organisation's legal compliance;
• the platform is aligned with Regulation 756/2026 (in force) and follows CNCS updates and guidance; its content may be updated as the regulation evolves, which may result in changes to the measures presented;
• to the maximum extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service.

4. Intellectual property

The NIS2PME software is licensed under AGPL-3.0: you are free to use, study, modify and redistribute it under the terms of that licence. The trademarks, logos and content of this website may not be used in a way that suggests affiliation or endorsement without permission. NIS2PME™ is a brand of Daniel Barreiros, with registration in progress.

5. Paid services

Beyond the free core, NIS2PME offers a Premium plan (additional platform modules), consulting services and training. These services are contracted individually, through a written proposal defining the applicable scope, timeline, price and conditions. Premium is an annual licence at a fixed price; the consulting and training figures shown on the website are indicative ("from" values). In either case, the prices published on the website do not constitute a contractual offer.

6. Changes

These terms may be updated, namely when new services or new hosting options are introduced. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of the page.
